More Word on “Charlie Wilson’s War”
There was a big media screening of the Christmas-Day release “Charlie Wilson’s War” last night in Los Angeles. The consensus among these folks was essentially what I told you weeks ago: this Tom Hanks/Julia Roberts picture is enjoyable, will be a hit, has a sharp script by Aaron Sorkin, and will garner a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who steals almost every scene he’s in.
