Lily Tomlin in New TV Series
In March, HBO will begin airing a series called “12 Miles of Bad Road,” of which at least five shows are already in the can. Behind this show are the Lily Tomlin and the woman who made “Designing Women” into such a massive TV hit, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason — she’s also a longtime friend of Bill and Hill.
Lily will be portraying Amelia Shakespeare, the matriarch of a big sprawling rich Texas family. Her sister in this show is Mary Kay Place, and their cousin is Leslie Jordan.
