Can the Piemaker Heal Broken Bones?
Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth (pictured here), who originated the role of Glinda in Broadway’s long-running hit, “Wicked,” slipped down a staircase at her home in Los Angeles the other day and fractured a few ribs.
Chenoweth, however, is such a trouper that she was already back on the set on Thursday, September 6, of “Pushing Daisies,” the much buzzed-about new television series in which she costars. The show’s producers moved around the shooting of a few scenes to give Chenoweth some breathing space. The series, scheduled to debut October 3 on ABC, concerns a piemaker, played by Lee Pace, who has the ability to make the dead live again. Chenoweth plays a waitress named Olive Snook who is involved in a love triangle with Pace. Anna Friel is also in the cast.
